Nate Lewellyn is an actor and a singer who now calls New York City his home base. Originally hailing from the great city of Milwaukee, WI, he started acting at a young age in school and at First Stage Children's Theatre. His love of the craft took him to Northwestern University where he studied acting, musical theatre and US History. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre with a Certificate from the Musical Theatre Program and was selected for Northwestern's New York showcase.
After graduating, he decided to remain in the midwest and had the pleasure of working at various companies in the Chicago area including: Circle Theatre, The Music Theatre Company, The Hypocrites, Porchlight Music Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Chicago Children's Theatre, Lyric Opera, and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. He also has worked regionally at the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, First Stage Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. Most recently he played the role of Homer Hickam in the Marriott Theatre's world premiere of October Sky. After five wonderful years in Chicago, he decided to make the big move to New York City to see where his career would go next.
He also is exploring directing, having previously assisted director Scott Weinstein's production of Titanic at Griffin Theatre.
